Repairs and Servicing make up a very large part of our turnover. There is little that we do not get asked to repair in the way of pumps, motors, gearboxes, engines, control panels, electrical switchgear, valves and much, much more.
We have three teams of specialist repair engineers, one based at each of our depots.
Our repair teams are not the same as our contract installation engineers which enables us to ensure that we always have staff available should an emergency breakdown occur. Our repair engineers are equipped with specialist tools and spare parts so we can give a fast response in the event of equipment failure. Obviously it helps us considerably if our clients can tell us in advance the make and model of the pumps we are going to site to
repair and the Ferrier labelling system which is affixed to every pump that leaves our premises, provides this information through our computer system, enabling us to arm our engineers in advance with the parts, spare parts drawings and maintenance manuals of the equipment we go to service.
Workshop repairs allow us to carry out full equipment inspections and to furnish refurbishment and repairs to a higher level than that generally possible on site visits. When pumps and motors are repaired, we can then restore the equipment to its original paint specification and colours, label them correctly to allow easier future identification and then test the equipment both hydraulically and electrically, providing certificates if required, before the pumps are delivered back to site for
