HEALTH & SAFETY

At Ferrier Pumps we have an excellent record of keeping up with the latest legislation covering  all aspects of Quality Control, Health & Safety & maintaining high standards of operational planning and implementation to cut down our carbon footprint and do our bit to  maintain the Environment.


Our staff are encouraged to extend and maintain their skills by going on training courses not just to keep up to date with technical changes and innovations that affect the pumps and control systems that they work with but to attend courses on such diverse things as First Aid, Confined Space training, Forklift Truck handling, Fire Fighting, Crane and Lifting equipment Operating as well as holding certification for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme.


Our staff is also trained in manual Handling, Hazard identification and Risk Assessment and our site staff abide by the Scottish Water Sewage Hygiene Code of Practice and carry EUSR National Water Hygiene cards.

Ferrier Pumps also operate an inoculation programme where our site and repair staff is inoculated against Hepatitis A and B viruses, Polio and Tetanus.
